During Balikatan 23, a joint military exercise conducted by the Philippine and United States forces, the two marines demonstrated their proficiency in handling a variety of weapons, including the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle, M240B medium machine gun, Mk 153 Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon, and javelin. The M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle is a lightweight, magazine-fed firearm used by the United States Marine Corps. It is known for its accuracy and reliability, making it a valuable asset in combat situations. The M240B medium machine gun is also a popular choice for the United States military, known for its high rate of fire and versatility in various scenarios. The Mk 153 Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon, or SMAW, is a portable rocket launcher designed to destroy enemy fortifications and armored vehicles.
