The Philippine Marine Corps' elite special forces unit, the Marine Special Operations Group (previously Force Recon Battalion), specializes in unconventional warfare and special operations. Before the flight, the Marines assist each other in gearing up and undergo gear and safety checks. Their training includes handling emergency and hazardous situations, executing proper landings, performing break falls and exit procedures, practicing mock jumps, and undergoing triple gear inspections.
