►Finalist for the Miami Epic Trailer Festival, Screened at the AMC Aventura 24 Theater in Florida, Top 5 award regionally for the Future Business Leaders of America ("FBLA") Bay Section Competition, Top 3 award state-wide for the FBLA State Competition in Sacramento, and 5th place nationwide for FBLA Nationals in Anaheim, California (represented state of CA & only female participant to place nationally) ►MY ROLES: Director, DP (Cinematographer), Editor, Writer, Voiceover Speaker, Costume Set Designer, Producer (I casted my older sister as the main actress!) [The phrase "GLASS CEILING" refers to an intangible barrier to advancement in a profession that prevents women / other minorities from rising to the upper rungs of the corporate ladder, regardless of their qualifications or achievements.] --- HEY GUYS okay so i originally made this as a video entry for a contest; their prompt was to create our own MOVIE TRAILER about anything, so the topic of women empowerment immediately came to mind because i strongly felt like voicing my opinion about it. gender should never be a defining factor of whether someone is or isn't capable of accomplishing a particular task. plus i thought this was the perfect topic, in light of the recent worldwide women's march last month. let's continue to break stereotypes, maximize our true potential, and empower those around us. let's prove to the world how much we have to offer! --- p.s. - this was my very first time using adobe premiere pro & adobe after effects so i literally spent HOURS watching tutorials trying to understand these intricate, detail-oriented programs but IT WAS SO WORTH IT. 10/10 would recommend.
