I use the bare bulb light in different scenarios but in most cases in harsh lighting situations. In order to be efficient while traveling I need to ensure that my strobe last as long as possible and that means staying away from high speed sync portraits! By using a 6-9 stop ND I show you how to avoid using HSS, although it still depends on your preference as a creative if you want to do so.
