Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola were forced to cut short a press briefing in Kyiv on Thursday due to air alert sirens sounding. As the siren sounded, Zelenskyy asked if the top European official was ok to which she replied, "now we get an idea of what you live through every day." Earlier in the briefing, Zelenskyy said his country's army is facing “a really difficult situation” in eastern regions where troops are battling to hold at bay an intense Russian push along parts of the front line.
