I'm finally back with a new megamix! Sorry I've been away since I released the year-end megamix. I've been dealing with life in general and didn't feel like working on mashups that much. However, this was a project that I felt motivated to continue cuz I liked the idea. So, this was a project that was started last year when I wanted to make a mashup with NEWJEANS' "OMG", PP Krit's "FIRE BOY" & FREETEMPO's "Symmetry"/"Dreaming". Then, the second section was created cuz I was addicted to MXFRUIT's "strawberry ice cream" and I was playing with some songs like BTS' "Butter" & TXT's "Magic". I did a lot of progress on this megamix, but I got occupied with life and the 2023 year-end mix. So, I just stopped working on this lol. But, I got motivated to continue this project so I've decided to make it a little bit more current by adding some songs that were released this year. Overall, I added a lot of songs that I liked listening to during the past two years and some songs that I thought could fit the mix. So, you can see why this mix is filled with a really random selection since I listened to a lot of different stuff. Lots of changes were made especially with the first section since I decided to use "Espresso" as a main beat which changed a little bit the vibes. Also, lots of songs were added and then removed cuz either I wasn't feeling the parts I gave anymore or they didn't contribute much to the mix. So, I'm sorry if a song you think could fit or you like is not included or that some songs have shorter parts, there's already a limited space in the mix so I hope you can understand and refrain from asking me why a song is not there or has a short part. I hope you'll enjoy this megamix! For the video, I wasn't too sure where I was going for it, but I had fun to do some of the effects (especially the 'OMG' part). However, I also went with a more "simplistic" edit cuz I don't have too much energy/time to concentrate on it and I wanted to finish this before summer ends. So, I hope you'll still enjoy the video! Fun facts: The original title of this megamix was "Song & Sweets", but I changed it to "Espresso & Ice Cream" to make it more current and I thought it would give a good summer vibe even though the lyrics don't necessarily surround these items lol. Also, you can see where some of my inspirations for the 2023 year-end came from since this is about food (especially the 'sweet' chapter of the year-end) and there's some ideas I reused liked the "OMG/Kick It 4 Now" intro haha.
