This is the main reason why this mix is coming out so late. But, I'm glad to finally present the 2022 megamix! Honestly, I wasn't sure of making one this year since again I wasn't totally fan of its music last year or I wasn't too inspired to come up with ideas. BUT, with the amount of some of my favorite 2nd gen groups (SNSD, EXID, KARA, etc.) coming back, I felt the need to do one lool. Also, there were some ideas I really wanted to share so I'm glad I was able to do so! My main inspiration for this mix was the most basic topic that can be found in almost any song, 'LOVE'! But, to add a little 2022 touch to it, the main theme of the mix is 'LOVE DIVE' as its influence has been pretty big during the year. So, the lyrics will transport you to a journey of diving into the world of love! '2022s LOVE DIVE' is a 15-minute long K-POP MEGA MASH-UP featuring 212 songs (including songs that only appear as instrumental sample)! This is definitely the second biggest megamix I ever worked on (almost beating that 2013 one I made that also had 214 songs, but was extremely bad lol)! Usually, I would get worried a lot about the amount of songs I would include, but this year I've been very lax about it and haven't realized that I ended up putting this big amount of songs! So, I don't want to hear any complaints about how a song is not there! The process for this megamix was probably one of the messiest and disorganized that I ever done. Honestly, I mostly had separate ideas that I didn't know how to put together. Also, I had to cut many ideas since I wanted this mix to be around 15 minutes. Overall, this was a pretty interesting mix to work on since I was trying to be a bit experimental with how I use my stems and do my transitions. The process was kind of hard especially trying to find place for some songs, but I feel the process kinda went fast as I haven't realized the increasing number of songs I was putting lol. The video for this year was kind of harder to make since I wasn't totally inspired or had a clear idea in mind of what I wanted it to look like, but I did have several ideas for effects and transitions. I didn't have much time to work on the video because I just got a new job and it's taking all my time and energy which is why the video is mostly tame in terms of video editing, but I still tried to do something fun so I hope you'll enjoy the whole mix and video! :D I'm sorry if your favorite artists/songs aren't featured in this mix! I can't add every single song that was released in 2022 because it would be way too impossible and I think 212 songs is already a lot! If a song is not here, it's probably because I couldn't find a place to fit it musically and/or lyrically in the mix. Also, keep in mind that there's limited space in the mix for the songs. So, please refrain from asking where or why a song isn't here! All the comments of that nature will be ignored or deleted. Anyway, I'm sorry again if your favorite artists/songs aren't in this! And don't take offense if a song has a shorter part in the mix, it was really hard for me to find a place for each song!
