This is a project I've been working on several weeks ago, but it actually started months ago as a megamix for DONGKIZ's 'Universe'. I was about to use this song as a main instrumental and feature songs by Brave Girls, BTS, OH MY GIRL, etc., but I wasn't super convinced about the results and just felt demotivated so I scrapped the idea. Then, randomly, I found 'Summertime', a song by cinnamons x evening cinema and its arrangement by Maggie x Nyan and I just felt like using this song for a summer mix! (Btw I didn't know it was a song that got popular by Tiktok before finding it lol...) Anyway, I felt like the instrumental was exciting and it would be perfect for the summer! Plus, it is around the same key as 'Universe' so I could recycle my past idea into this one! While working on this mashup, many songs/ideas popped up in my mind, but with time constraint I couldn't do everything so that's why a lot of songs ended up only used as minor vocal samples. Also, I tried to use more recent summer K-POP songs, but sadly, most of their keys are quite far from this mashup's key. So, I tried to find ways to put some of them in the mix without them sounding too annoying or weird. But, I couldn't put every of them so that's why songs like 'Alcohol-Free' or 'Permission To Dance' (tho I finished the mix before its release lol) aren't included in this mix. Anyway, I really hope you'll enjoy this mash-up since I had fun mixing stuff here and there! For the video, I tried to have a summer/vacation vibe to it with the hotel, beach and fun scenes.
