It's a little bit late, but it's coming at the right timing because VICTON and ALICEs have a lot to celebrate! Recently, it was Victon's 3rd anniversary, then Byungchan's birthday and ALICE's 1000 days anniversary and now VICTON finally got their first-ever music show win with "Nostalgic Night" on "The Show"!!! THIS FEELS SO SURREAL, BUT IT'S A SUPER GREAT DAY FOR VICTON AND ALICEs!!! So, here's the mash-up I made to celebrate all of this! I'll post a comment detailing all my thoughts cuz the description would be too long XD. Anyway, "Nostalgic Night" is a bop and I had on repeat for the past week!!! To be honest, I was a tad bit worried when I heard the teasers because I think the song falls in the "future bass" category which isn't really my favorite type of EDM (especially because a lot of group went to this genre too), BUT this was more in the emotional vibe (Reminds me a bit of ASTRO's "Always You" which I love too). I love the beautiful guitar in the song, the vocals (especially Seungsik's parts) were on point and swayed me away, and that second beat drop that I didn't expect got me bopping my head off at 4AM when the MV first got released XDDDD. Also, Hanse's rap slays as always (but that instrumental play during his parts was so FIRE too! I mean idk it sounded different from the rest of the song while using the same motifs of the song just all glitchy sounding). Anyway, this song is a masterpiece that deserves more recognition!!! So, as promised, here's the full version of the mash-up between 'Nostalgic Night' and X1's "FLASH" (which is a great catchy song, taht I also love the instrumental break a lot haha). Obviously, I did it because Seungwoo is in X1 and I wanted to reunite him with the rest of VICTON, but I was surprised that both songs were almost at the same key and didn't have a big bpm gap. So, I felt like those two were meant to be together haha! I think it fits, but in a weird way, since "Nostalgic Night" is a more mellow/sad song and "FLASH" has a more cool sound I guess? Anyway, I tried to play around with sounds in this mash-up. I think one of my proudest things in this mash-up is how I could create synths based on vocal parts from "FLASH". Can you find the synths in the mashup ;)? Also, I added a bridge and a final chorus for the mash-up, because "Nostalgic Night" only has 2 choruses without a bridge (which is my only complaint of the song cuz it makes it shorter XDD). As for the lyrics, I don't think they match that well cuz both are talking of different things, but I still wanted to keep my tradition and put the lyrics on the screen hahaha. And as you can see, I've put which member is singing on the screen, but to be honest, it's more because Victon is in the mash-up lol. I am way less familiar with X1's members (except for those who already debuted before) so I'm sorry if there are mistakes in the video! I used a site to determine which member sings when. As for the video, I really put my focus on Victon and their past MVs (cuz "Nostalgic Night" had some references of their past MVs), so I'm sorry if there isn't enough X1 in the video. The problem was that their MV was more dance and beauty shots which didn't really help me create a story. So, I hope you'll understand! Anyway, I really hope you'll enjoy this mash-up!! P.S.: I'm sorry that the quality of the mash-up isn't the best! Both songs don't have their official instrumental out, so I had to work with my own material!
