This mash-up is to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of my channel! This mash-up doesn't feature all of the countries' music, but is a slight representation of what I liked to listen to during the past 10 years! So, I'm sorry if your favorite artists/songs aren't featured in this! This is just a mash-up including songs that I love although the tracklist only includes like 1% of what I listen to cuz there are a lot more songs that I listened to through the past 10 years that I couldn't include because I had to limit myself to about 100 songs. So, I hope you understand! Anyway, I can't believe 10 years already passed since the day I've created this channel! Actually, this channel didn't start as a mash-up channel lol. I was doing random videos about Pokemon and a show that I used to love as a child, "Total Drama" hence why my channel's name is "TotalPokeDramaFan" (it was a very poor name choice from 'child' me lol). Honestly, I've thought of changing the name, but I got so used to it that I didn't dare to do it lol. But, you can call me 'TPDFMixes' (it sounds more professional lol.) Anyway, back to my story, I only started making mash-ups back at the end of 2012 I believe because I stumbled on some and found it cool to mix songs together. Also, two of my biggest inspirations were DJ Masa and SHIMMixes (now SMXS) that I'm sure inspired a ton of other fellow mash-up makers! It took me years to understand how mash-up really worked cuz I was only releasing bad stuff that were off-key and off-tempo lmao. I honestly think I only got a little bit good near 2017 loool. Anyway, I had a lot of fun making all of these mashups even if a lot of them were bad XD. And I still can't believe how after all these years, I'm still making mash-ups haha. Also, I'm surprised by how my channel grew, I remember having only a couple of hundreds of subscribers back then, now I'm about 7K which might not be a big number at all, but is still shocking for me because I never thought more than one thousand people would be interested in what I make. So, I'm really thankful to all of you guys! Anyway, for this special occasion, I've prepared this mega mash-up! It is mostly an excuse for me to share some songs I didn't know how to release a mash-up with since my channel mainly focuses on K-pop (actually there are some combinations I've been working years ago, but never got to release them lol). As mentioned before, it contains songs I loved since the last decade, but is not representative of popular songs and all. So, that's why the mash-up might seem to have a really random selection of songs lmao. You mostly see how my tastes can be random (with some bops from everywhere and some guilty pleasure songs, also a lot of OSTs somehow lol). Also, I want to say that I got more open to other countries' music more in the second half of the decade, because I was being a full-on K-pop fan since 2010 lol (tho I liked some Japanese and American songs in the meanwhile). I just started to grow liking listening to random songs that are recommended to me despite where it comes from because you never know what kind of gems you can find! ;) Anyway, as usual the mega mash-up is separated in chapters, but I honestly didn't have something concrete in mind lol. That's why the chapters are a bit random and some lyrics might not totally match! For the instrumentation, I just went with beats I really wanted to use in a mash-up, but didn't have an opportunity to do so. I also tried to mix more different genres together to give more diversity to the mash-up. And I tried to use only songs that were close enough keys and/or bpms (tho there's some exceptions), so the mash-up would sound more cohesive. That's why some other songs couldn't be used.
