I'm so proud of them!!! Alternative title: 'I Am Your Howling Poison' Anyway, I'm so happy that VICTON is now back as a whole group! I really missed Seungwoo a lot! Also, for this comeback, VICTON went to a dark concept which I was excited and a bit nervous about, to be honest. Recently, lots of boy groups are going for a dark image, but most of the songs they release only stay in the 'okay' zone for me. It's not that they aren't talented and all, it's just that usually use sounds that I'm not that into or doesn't fit my tastes. So, when I first listened to 'Howling', I was quite happy that something was different! The verses were cool (Especially Hanse's rap parts!), but the chorus was more mellow and emotional which really differs from the usual upbeat and heavy sounds I hear recently. I did find the chorus a bit bland when I listened to it at first, but it really grew on me and I really see what they wanted to go for with it. BUT, I have to mention how I love Subin's part in the second part of the chorus, the chord progressions and the rhythm were so good! Anyway, I'm really happy with this comeback and the whole album is a masterpiece! I hope VICTON can achieve more new things from now on! Also, I hope Byungchan will be able to recover fully and fast from his neck injury! Anyway, I didn't really have a mashup idea when 'Howling' came out. But, since the day they posted teasers for it, I felt like VAV's "Poison" could fit it really well because they give similar vibes. And eventually, I found out that that they were on the same key and had very close bpms! But, I felt that there was missing something when I just mashed up the two songs. Then, Stray Kids' 'I am YOU' came up in my mind and I really thought that it matched 'Howling' really well! So, that's how I begin putting those three songs together also with other sounds/songs/beats I felt could match. I really had fun playing with different sounds in this mashup! I hope you guys will enjoy it! I'm sorry for some bad quality parts, none of the songs except 'Poison' have their official instrumental released so I had to work with what I could find. And for the video, I really wanted to show a werewolf story since VICTON's song is called 'Howling' XD.
