The Deshaun Watson trade machine got going on Saturday night after the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams pulled a mega trade of two quarterbacks. The Lions traded franchise QB Matt Stafford to the Rams in exchange for Jared Goff. Detroit also got the Rams’ first-round draft picks in 2022 and 2023, and a third-round pick in 2021. As of right now, the Texans have publicly stated that they have zero interest in trading Watson, but this is coming from a franchise that suddenly traded WR DeAndre Hopkins.
