A group dance, performed on the beats of dhol, tarpa is the only source of entertainment for the community and it also helps to unite people. “The dance helps to bridge the gap between different people and maintains a healthy relationship among the community members. With the musical accompaniment of a wind instrument named Tarpa, the dancers encircle the ‘Tarpakar’ and they dance past mid night. The dance performed by the villagers is a true mirror to their unity and coordination. All the participants join hands and swing in circles while singing themselves.
