I show you one of the products I started using that you need and maybe didn't even know! I purchased the Nathan Luna Fire waist light a couple of weeks ago and have used it in combination with my Petzle headlamp while running and hiking. It/s winter running season which means its dark here at 430 pm. Whether training for an ultra marathon, marathon, or trail race, I've been pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't use the waist lamp as the only light source. It seems to be better suited as a supplemental source to a headlamp. It really spreads the light source out minimizing the feeling that you are looking through a paper towel roll in the dark. I'm sure there are many brands of waist lamps. I'm not saying this is the best, just the one I had available at my local running store.I'm definitely going to bring this to use at the Bandera 100k.
