TRUProjectOMR's video: Final Fantasy 7: Versus Guide Playthrough part 9

@Final Fantasy 7: Versus Guide Playthrough part 9
Prison break, gongaga, other enemy skills, and the location where my soul drains until lvl. 99. POST COMMENTARY: The prison area itself is very easy, especially if you've been following the playthrough. At this point, we're overpowered, and we're about to turn that up to 11. REMEMBER TO STOP IN THE JUNKYARD BEFORE THE BOSSFIGHT TO ACQUIRE THE 'LASER' ENEMY SKILL! It'll be awhile before you can get it again, otherwise. After the prison sequence, the chocobo race is simple as well. For an easier win, hold the top two buttons (PS is R1+R2, XBox is RB + RT), then mash the square button (XBox, the 'X' button) to both speed up and recover stamina. If you need to sprint, hold circle (XBox, hold 'B'), but you shouldn't need to do that until the section before the space area (LAAAAAAAAG!). Once you get the buggy, cross the stream to the south and head to the beach (keep that house you see in mind by the beach; we'll be going there later to get Aeris's level 4 limit break). You'll find a group of hermit crab lookin' things. Use manipulate on one to cast 'BIG GUARD' on the person with the enemy skill materia. Congrats! You have yourself one of the most OP skills in the game. Head to Gongaga with Aeris and Tifa in the party and fight the boss there. Head north, watch a cutscene, and grab the Titan materia. After that, head back to the area you fought the boss and exit northwest. Keep heading NW for a bit to run into the Deathblow materia, then go to the intersection and head north into the town. Restock on supplies and purchase anything you want. The house on the eastern edge of town triggers a cutscene. Afterwords, if you're a decent human being, you'd check on the gals... BUT DO NOT BE A DECENT HUMAN BEING! Ignore them and head back out to the world map if you are shooting for the Barret Gold Saucer scene! Get back in your buggy and head to Costa Del Sol, then enter the town WHILE STILL IN YOUR BUGGY. Go to the dock and be a stowaway for 100 gil, then head outside of Junon. Back to the southeast and over a stream (see in video), you'll find a hermit fast asleep. If you talk to him when the last two numbers of the battles you've fought are EVEN, you'll get a bolt ring. If the last two numbers are ODD, you'll receive the key item 'Mythril', and this will be used for getting Aeris's level 4 limit break. During your battles, you may run across a giant owl-like enemy. Manipulate it and cast White Wind on the person with enemy skill to learn it. It's an excellent healing skill to have! At the end of the video, we re-enter Junon, and I begin to lose a part of my soul. This is where I'll be stuck for the next few days. You'll see the location in the video; there's a long hall with a group of soldiers practicing drill, and on the left hand wall, there's a red panel. Touch that to sound an alarm and trigger random encounters in that area. NORMALLY, these enemies are only available on Disc 2. They'll still hit hard, but at this point, you should be able to handle them with relative ease. Ensure that your Platinum Bangles and double AP weapons are equipped, and go to town if you so choose. Personally, I'll be doing a few things, courtesy of PrimalLiquid's video: 1) Grinding until my characters have maxed their levels at 99. 2) Obtaining 3 mastered HP Plus materias. 3) Mastering as many 'All' materias as possible before then. We're shooting for each active members' HP to be set at 9,999. After this, I will also be escaping all battles in order for Chocobuckle to do 2,222 damage. You see where this is going yet? If you don't, here's the poor man's version: 9,999 - 2,222 = 7,777. Getting your members down to 7,777 HP will trigger lucky 7's, and it's insanely overpowered. Any boss NOT named Emerald or Ruby weapon will be devoured on contact. Is this necessary? Oh heck no. Should we be doing it? HOLY FISHSTICKS, NO!! I would HIGHLY suggest playing the game normally before you ever attempt to do something this obscenely stupid and wasteful, but having that power before Cosmo Canyon is just fun to do! I will return with the playthrough once I achieve the above stated things. It'll be a bit, but once I'm done, I'll be back to play through the rest of this. Thanks for tuning in!
