TVNiezaleznaPolonia Canada's video: Ukraine Crisis - Fundraising Breakfast in Ottawa

By May 2015 there have been over 1 million displaced people in Ukraine due to the war. On Friday Mary 29th the Ukrainian National Federation - Ottawa Gatineau Branch and the CNEWA Canada organized Fundraising Breakfast for displaced children and families in Ukraine. The CNEWA/UNF fundraiser resulted in $40,100.00 donated for the purpose of helping displaced families in Ukraine with shelter, food, clothing and medical supplies. About 100 people attended the fundraiser plus special guests like the Hon. Paul Dewar and Bishop Riesbeck , Charge d”affairs for Ukraine, Mr. Marko Shevchenko and Religious Ambassador, Dr. Andrew Bennett. The organizing committee of Antin Sloboda, Roman Hruby, Frank Cedar, Olya Korzachenko, Mr. Carl Hetu and Vicki Karpiak worked hard for months to reach these lofty financial goals.
