Minggu 28 April 2019, di Candi Prambanan digelar event nasional Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2019. Event rutin tahunan ini telah digelar keempat kalinya di Candi Prambanan. Kali ini, para pelari lokal maupun internasional akan disuguhkan pemandangan indah 9 desa yang berada di Sleman, Yogyakarta dan Klaten, Jawa Tengah. Menteri BUMN Rini Soemarno mengapresiasi event yang menggabungkan olahraga dan Pariwisata. Menurutnya, Mandiri Jogja Marathon semakin tahun semakin baik. Dilihat dari animo masyarakat yang sangat tinggi. Baik tua maupun muda, Pribadi maupun Komunitas.
