It is the first train in this sector to be restored post lockdown. Being one of the important route of Indian Railway and lack of a daily train, this train always run overcrowded. This train is now diverted via Andul-Bhattanagar-CC Link to avoid loco reversal at Howrah Jn. This train consists 2 2A, 7 3A, 10 SL, 1 PC and 4 2S followed by 2 SLR coaches. This is a "Superfast" class train and the rake belongs to Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR) and primary maintenance is done at Guwahati (GHY). The route of this train is via KJM-JTJ-KPD-AJJ-PER-OGL-BZA-RJY-VSKP-VZM-BAM-KUR-BBS-CTC-BLS-KGP-DKAE-BWN-RPH-MLDT-KNE-NJP-NCB-NOQ-NBQ-RNY-KYQ. The loco link is RPM WAP-7/ED WAP-4/AJJ WAP-4 from Bengaluru Cantt to Visakhapatnam, HWH WAP-4/SDAH WAP-7 from Visakhapatnam to New Jalpaiguri and SGUJ WDP-4/4D from New Jalpaiguri to Guwahati. Total journey distance is 2973 Kms and is covered in 53:55 hrs @55 Kmph avg. It departs from BNC every Wed, Thu and Fri @23:40 hrs and reaches GHY @05:35 hrs on the 4th day. This train has total 40 halts in the complete journey.
