Connectivity between Bengaluru and Ranchi is poor till date as there is no daily service. Recently, this train has been upgraded with high speed LHB coaches. It was inaugurated on 15 Apr 2003. This train has RSA with 12811/12 LTT-HTE-LTT Express, 12817/18 HTE-ANVT-HTE Jharkhand Swarna Jayanti Express, 12873/74 HTE-ANVT-HTE Jharkhand Swarna Jayanti Express. This train consists 1 1A, 2 2A, 6 3A, 7 SL, 1 PC and 3 GS followed by 2 EOG coaches. This is a "Superfast" class train and the rake belongs to South Eastern Railways (SER) and primary maintenance is done at Hatia (HTE). The route of this train is via KJM-JTJ-KPD-CTO-TPTY-RU-GDR-NLR-BZA-RJY-VSKP-VZM-PVPT-RGDA-TIG-BLGR-SBP-JSG-ROU. The loco link is VSKP WAP-4 from Yesvantpur to Visakhapatnam and TATA/BNDM WAP-7 from Visakhapatnam to Hatia. Total journey distance is 1901 Kms and is covered in 33:10 hrs @57 Kmph avg. It departs from YPR on Tue & Thu @08:30 hrs and reaches HTE @17:40 hrs on Wed & Fri. This train has total 23 halts in the complete journey.
