These trains were introduced for just couple of months but due to present conditions, majority of festival special trains have been extended for 1 more month. If the response remains good, then the extension of few trains is definitely on the cards. This train is the lone savior of the passengers of this route, especially beyond Guwahati. It has RSA with 03175/76 Sealdah-Silchar-Sealdah Kanchanjunga Festival Special. This special train will run from 27 Oct 2020 to 02 Jan 2021. This train consists 1 2A, 5 3A, 7 SL and 4 2S coaches followed by 2 SLR coaches. This is a "Mail/Express" class train and the rake belongs to Eastern Railways (ER) and primary maintenance is done at Sealdah (SDAH). The route of this train is via ABSA-DMR-BPB-NHLG-LMG-HJI-GHY-RNY-NBQ-NOQ-NCB-NJP-KNE-MLDT-NFK-RPH-BHP-BWN(Chord)-DKAE-DDJ. The loco link is SGUJ WDP-4/4B/4D from Agartala to New Jalpaiguri and SDAH WAP-7 from New Jalpaiguri to Sealdah. Total journey distance is 1551 Kms and is covered in 37:30 hrs @41 Kmph avg. It departs from AGTL @05:55 hrs and reaches SDAH @19:25 hrs on the next day. This train has total 39 halts in the complete journey.
