Bangaon is situated near Bangladesh border, thus it becomes very crucial train to ferry passengers to and fro Kolkata. After COVID-19 pandemic hit the country, all local train services were stopped but few local trains ran as staff/patrol special for the convenience of railway staff to reach their respective workplace. But now, after a lot of agitation by the passengers, Indian Railways along with West Bengal state government decided to resume the local train service for normal passengers. Around 84% of services were resumed from 11 Nov 2020 which will gradually increase in upcoming days. Hope you enjoy the journey of Pre-Covid era :) The route of this train is via CDP-TKNR-GBG-HB-ASKR-GUMA-DTK-BT-HHR-MMG-BBT-DGNR-DDC-DDJ-BNXR. Total journey distance is 76 Kms and is covered in 01:57 hrs @39 Kmph avg. It departs from BNJ daily @16:15 hrs and reaches SDAH @18:12 hrs. This train has total 12 halts in the complete journey.
