That's why maintenance of this train is far better than other trains. Due to very slow time table, end to end passengers are very less in this train. Thus, few seats in all classes remain vacant during the journey which is beneficial for last minute passengers. Recently, the loco link of this train has been upgraded. Earlier this train was hauled by HWH/SGUJ WDP-4D but now electric locomotive hauls it upto New Coochbehar and diesel locomotive is attached for the remaining part of the journey. It has RSA with 05959/60 HWH-DBRG-HWH Kamrup Special. This train consists 1 2A, 3 3A, 11 SL, 1 PC and 3 2S followed by 2 EOG coaches. This is a "Mail/Express" class train and the rake belongs to Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR) and primary maintenance is done at Dibrugarh (DBRG). The route of this train is via NLP-RPAN-TNL-RNY-BPRD-NBQ-NOQ-NCB-FLK-DQG-JPE-NJP-KNE-BOE-MLDT-NFK-DGLE-JRLE-AZ-KWAE-NDAE-BDC-SHE. The loco link is SGUJ WDP-4/4B/4D from Dibrugarh to New Coochbehar and then HWH WAP-7 from New Coochbehar to Howrah. Total journey distance is 1352 Kms and is covered in 30:05 hrs @45 Kmph avg. It departs from DBRG on Sun and Thu @23:55 hrs and reaches HWH @06:00 hrs on the 3rd day. This train has total 40 halts in the complete journey.
