18029 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Shalimar Express is one of the oldest and daily service in the Bengal - Nagpur Railway sector. It has most number of halts compared to any train of this route. This is one of the 4 trains which runs daily between Mumbai and Kolkata. This train is very important because it stops at numerous small stations and provide the connection to the major cities enroute. It has been re-introduced wef 14 Jul 2022 after a gap of more than 2 years. This train was inaugurated on 01 Apr 1926. The coach composition is 2 2A, 6 3A, 8 SL and 2 GS followed by 2 SLR coaches and 2 HCPV coaches. This is a "Mail/Express" class train and the rake belongs to South Eastern Railways (SER) and primary maintenance is done at Padmapukur (PDPK).
The route of this train is via TNA-KYN-NK-MMR-JL-BSL-AK-BD-WR-NGP-G-DGG-RJN-DURG-BPHB-R-BYT-BSP-CPH-RIG-JSG-ROU-CKP-TATA-GTS-KGP-PKU-MCA-SRC. Total journey distance is 1944 Kms and is covered in 37:35 hrs @52 Kmph avg.
It departs from LTT daily @22:00 hrs and reaches SHM @11:35 hrs on 3rd day. Loco link is SRC WAP- 4 from end to end. This train has total 60 halts in the complete journey.

12073 Howrah - Bhubaneswar Janshatabdi is the only dedicated train between Howrah and Bhubaneswar while there are numerous trains that runs daily which crosses/originate/terminate in these 2 cities. This train is usually preferred by last minute passengers as the tickets are generally available in this train. Aggressive schedule and convenient timing make this train a good one to travel. From 01 June 2020, this train has been upgraded with LHB coaches amid Lockdown. This train was inaugurated on 13 Oct 2002. This train consists 2 CC and 13 2S coaches followed by 1 EOG and 1 SLR coach. This is a "Janshatabdi" class train and the rake belongs to East Coast Railways (ECoR) and primary maintenance is done at Bhubaneswar (BBS).
The route of this train is via SRC-KGP-HIJ-JER-BLS-SORO-BHC-JJKR-CTC. Loco link is VSKP WAP-7 from end to end. Total journey distance is 437 Kms and is covered in 06:35 hrs @66 Kmph avg.
It departs daily from HWH @13:25 hrs and reaches BBS @20:00 hrs on the same day. This train has total 7 halts in the complete journey.
