But majority of the trains has been launched for just 1 or 2 runs. Due to last minute notification, passengers quickly got their confirmed seats in these trains while there is heavy rush in other trains. This train takes unconventional route between Delhi and Guwahati when compared to other trains which makes this train slower than others. The surprising fact was that diesel loco was alloted for this train for the complete journey while the majority of the route is electrified. This train consists 2 2A, 6 3A, 7 SL and 4 2S followed by 2 EOG coaches. This is a "Mail/Express" class train and the rake belongs to Northern Railways (NR) and primary maintenance is done at Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT). The route of this train is via GZB-HPU-MB-CH-STP-GD-BST-GKP-SV-CPR-HJP-BJU-KGG-KIR-BOE-KNE-NJP-SGUJ-NMZ-HSA-APDJ-NBQ-GLPT. The loco link is SGUJ WDP-4D or LKO WDM-3A from end to end. Total journey distance is 1879 Kms and is covered in 39:45 hrs @47 Kmph avg. It departs from ANVT on Fri @23:45 hrs and reaches KYQ @15:30 hrs on the 3rd day. This train has total 23 halts in the complete journey.
