However, post resumption, this train has been been successful due to high fare structure and long journey duration. Just few days back, this train is now getting electric locomotive between Sealdah and New Jalpaiguri replacing end to end diesel locomotive run. With this, diesel loco era in Eastern Railways came to end. This train consists 1 2A, 3 3A, 8 SL and 4 2S followed by 2 SLR coaches. This is a "Mail/Express" class train and the rake belongs to Eastern Railways (ER) and primary maintenance is done at Sealdah (SDAH). The route of this train is via NCB-FLK-DQG-JPE-NJP-KNE-BOE-MLDT-NFK-DGLE-JRLE-AZ-KWAE-NDAE-BDC--NH-DDJ. The loco link is MLDT WDM-3A/D or SGUJ WDP-4D from New Alipurduar to New Jalpaiguri and then HWH WAP-4/SDAH WAP-7 from New Jalpaiguri to Sealdah. Total journey distance is 718 Kms and is covered in 17:00 hrs @42 Kmph avg. It departs from NOQ daily @11:45 hrs and reaches SDAH @04:45 hrs on the next day. This train has total 25 halts in the complete journey.
