There are only few trains which connects Bihar with Southern India. Thus, the rush is inevitable. It is the only train between these 2 cities via Jabalpur & Prayagraj. Stops are less and the full route is electrified now. This train was inaugurated on 16 Feb 1977. It has RSA with 12691/92 MAS-SSPN-MAS Express. This train consists 1 HA, 3 2A, 2 3A, 13 SL, 1 PC and 2 2S coaches followed by 2 SLR coaches. This is a "Superfast" class train and the rake belongs to Southern Railways (SR) and primary maintenance is done at MGR Chennai Central (MAS). The route of this train is via GDR-OGL-BZA-WL-BPQ-CD-SEGM-NGP-BZU-ET-PPI-JBP-KTE-STA-PRYJ-JNH-BOY-BSB-ARJ-GCT-BUI. The loco link is ED/AJJ WAP-4 from MGR Chennai Central to Prayagraj Jn and JHS/CNB WAP-4 from Prayagraj Jn to Chhapra. Total journey distance is 2339 Kms and is covered in 39:55 hrs @59 Kmph avg. It departs from MAS on Mon & Sat @17:40 hrs and reaches CPR @09:35 hrs on Mon & Wed. This train has total 21 halts in the complete journey.
