Earlier, this train was used to be fastest between Mumbai and Patna. Rush is always high throughout the year. This train has been upgraded with high speed LHB coaches wef 15 Jun 2022. After electrification, electric loco takes charge for the whole journey. This train was inaugurated on 04 Jul 1999. This train consists 1 HA, 1 2A, 8 3A, 6 SL, 1 PC and 3 2S coaches followed by 2 EOG coaches. This is a "Superfast" class train and the rake belongs to Central Railways (CR) and primary maintenance is done at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). The route of this train is via TNA-KYN-IGP-NK-MMR-JL-BSL-KNW-ET-PPI-JBP-KTE-STA-PCOI-MZP-DDU-BXR-DNR. The loco link is KYN WAP-7 from end to end. Total journey distance is 1686 Kms and is covered in 28:15 hrs @60 Kmph avg. It departs from LTT daily @23:35 hrs and reaches PPTA @03:50 hrs on 3rd day.
