Imran Shaan at his bold and beautiful best at such an emotional moment, when his comrade of decades is on the verge of being buried in his home village in AJK, 6 days after dying of a heart attack in Bangkok, Thailand. This is what I wrote about the gentle soul Aftab Ahmed on facebook a few days ago: "Very thoughtful of you to write about Aftab in such a manner. After all, he was a very thoughtful person too. He came to Dadyaal on the 13th of August last year upon my invitation to attend a forum. This August, I will receive what remains of him at the 'cold' border of Azad Pattan. He was very kind and considerate too, in a manner that was unique to his personality it seemed. Death at times comes to those who least deserve it."
