The Poet: Khwaja Ghulam Farid: 1845-1901 شاعر: خواجہ غلام فرید ۱۹۰۱-۱۸۴۵ The Singer: Zahida Parveen: 1920s-1975 گلوکارہ: زاہدہ پروین ۱۹۷۵-۱۹۲۰ Please note: There are two versions of the title line of the کافی kafi uploaded here: ساون میگھ ملہاراں Sawan megh malharan or سانول میگھ ملہاراں Sanwal megh malharan (as being sung here) In the first version, ساون sawan matches with میگھ megh and ملہاراں malharan. In the second version, سانول “sanwal” (the beloved) is being addressed. I have written this کافی kafi with the second version. It seems better to me. And also, this is how it is being sung here.
