@Panzerkampfwagen VI "Tiger I" tank

This Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E is located at the town of Vimoutiers in France. It was attached to the Schwere SS Panzer Abteilung 102 (s.SS-Pz.Abt. 102). This Tiger 1 was abandoned during the war on August 1944. While it was heading out of Vimoutiers it fell out of fuel while heading towards a fuel dump during the battle of the Falaise pocket. The crew placed demolition charges in order to destroy the tank. The tank was bought in 1975 and removed from the ditch, and since then placed on a concrete base. Hopefully a restauration will happen soon, because the weather effects are damaging the tank over the years.
