Apple released early firmware for Appleā€™s Homepod speaker and an iOS developer analyzed the code to reveal that not only is the Homepod running a full iOS stack, but the firmware detailed a number of references to infrared FaceDetection. That gives further credence to rumors pointing to a replacement of Touch ID with face detection in the new iPhone Get ready for ads in your GIFs. TechCrunch reports that Giphy will soon test sponsored gifs. Giphy has over 200 million daily active users across all platforms, so advertisers are understandably eager to scoop up this real estate. Linden Labs is evolving from Second Life to Sansar, Niantic is canceling Pokemon Go Fests after its Fest fails a few weeks ago, and YouTuber Marques Brownlee was at Tesla& ;s Model 3 event and he shares his thoughts on what it's like in the driver's seat.
