SPITI: Most Treacherous Roads, Most Stunning Views Unforgettable Experience that invites you to go back this place again and again... Plan Day 1 - Reach Chandigarh to Manali (305 km) Day 2 - Chandigarh to Manali (305 km) Explore Manali ( Solang Valley, Hidimba Temple ,Mall Road, Old Manali, Oldest caffes in Manali... etc) Day 3 - Manali - Rohtang Pass (51 km), Rohtang Pass - Losar (94km) Started Journey early in the morning because Rohtang pass have a huge traffic jam due check post at Gulaba Barriers , need to have Rohtang pass permit to travel Rohtang pass , Leh Ladakh and Spiti Valley.. Coming from rohtang pass there is sharp right turn that leads towards spiti, there was a direction board but it was placed inside the turn which is not visible from the main road immediately.. And most importantly road is in verry bad condition that is a big surprise and make you think twise to take your car on that rough road.... Rohtang pass to losar just 94 kms but because of the road condition , landslides and water flowing through the mountains it takes lot longer than expected time... But the beautiful views entertain you and you forget about the time... It's the most treacherous patch but I have to say most beautiful part of Spiti Trip... It was getting dark so we stayed at Batal (13500ft), And desided to skip Losar and start next day morning to reach Kaza ...
