@How to do the Splits, Ten Thousand Method Principles: #5 Introduction to the best stretching routine
How to do the splits? Well there are many ways, but the best stretching routine to do the split will always be an intelligent routine. A way that is methodical, tested and objectively works effectively for you. The Ten Thousand Method is built on 4 general principles that can be applied to any specific flexibility exercises, and in fact any physical training that has very clear goals. So here they are: 1: Intelligent repetition. Every rep must be intentional, focused and intense. 2: Progressive adaptation. Not habitual adaptation, but continuously adapting to measured loads that are slightly greater than our current ability. 3: No pain. We must NEVER ever train into pain. Discomfort is fine, but pain is injury, and injury will reduce your flexibility. Don’t train into pain. 4: Rest. Because you only improve and get stronger when you recover from training. Our goal is excellence, to be strong at our maximum range of motion, at a full 180 degrees along our lateral line. And these stretches for splits will help us train for specific excellence (that is, to do the split) as opposed to relative excellence (which would be to do the split better than other people). Stretching exercises like this have worked for me, even though I have recently recovered from injury (torn hamstrings), even though I’m male and old and not naturally flexible. And this stretching program has video evidence :) Ok! No more theory after this one hahaha, it’s all practical from here. Enjoy :) You can also find Ten Thousand Method on: ►Website: https://www.TenThousandMethod.com ►Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/TenThousandMethod ►Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TenThousandMethod ►YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TenThousandMethod What does Bruce Lee think of the Ten Thousand Method principles? "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times..."
