I always do my best to answer questions and reply :) I really enjoy hearing from you, about your progress and gains, and even if you're going through a brief period of plateauing or regress, it's really great to hear that you're persevering through that and continuing to train for side splits. In fact, for all the benefits and virtues you may have on your side, your discipline and consistent perseverance is really what will get you there. We have 10 weeks after all, so be diligent to complete each session as you work towards achieving side splits. If I could train your leg flexibility faster; I would. If I could teach you how to do the split easier; I would. And actually if you were just learning how to do the splits then you could definitely achieve that faster than 10 weeks. But we're not just learning how to do the side splits. We're stretching for STRONG side splits, and getting strong at your maximum range of motion takes time. I think 10 weeks is a minimum for most people. Some of you will get more flexible and strong in under 10 weeks, some will need more than 10 weeks, but most of us need about 10 weeks to get strong side splits for awesome flexibility. And the flexibility you gain here will directly transfer to any other training. It will help you get flexible for yoga. In fact, yoga flexibility needs to be strong. And the same for martial arts flexibility. Get strong at your maximum range of motion, get strong side splits, and that will make your kicks faster and stronger too.
