Heraldics focus on the Graveyard, hence why Gravekeepers are such a hard matchup against them. They can't use their Reborn, their Bujincarnation, or their Graveyard effects if Necrovalley is up. Knowing this, Konami finally made sense for once and gave them a Field Spell to overwrite Necrovalley. The Field Spell isn't that shabby either, since you essentially get a free Monster Reborn every turn. If only one monster doesn't tickle your fancy, you can search for Advanced Heraldry Art instead, which is a free Xyz on board. On top of that, the Field Spell gives your Heraldic Xyz Monsters a perma-pseudo-Forbidden Lance, removing the necessity for such a card. The main drawback is that, as soon as you use it, you're locked into using ONLY Heraldic Monster Effects, Heraldry cards, and Psychic-type Xyz Monsters, so you can't come out of a sticky situation with SHArk Knight. Unless, of course, you already had an AHA and you used it to make SHArk Knight. Oh, and Heraldics have their own CNo. now. It's broken as crap. When your opponent attacks, they lose EVERYTHING on their field. It's guaranteed 4000 damage every turn with its detaching effect, and under Augmentation, you can't get rid of it the easy way by topdecking a Soul Taker or something. It still has the effect of Coat of Arms, where you can copy Xyz effects, adding to its stupidity. Just imagine bringing this thing out, then copying Big Eye. Their new Xyz is great, being their best method of dumping Heraldics into the Grave. When it dies, you get to dump two. It may not seem like much, but when you consider Leo, Unicorn, Aberconway, and Twin-Headed Eagle, it suddenly becomes much more powerful. You can also use its detaching effect to blow apart decks that rely on one monster, such as Burning Knucklers, Blue-Blooded Oni Loop, etc. tl;dr Heraldics are viable now. Also, if any of you would like to offer help with this deck, it would be much appreciated.
