This kerala plum cake or christmas fruit cake is traditionally prepared by chopping all the dry fruits and soaking it in alcohol( rum/brandy/wine). It is usually made well before Christmas, almost a month in advance, and the cake is stored in an airtight container. Plum cake can be made without using alcohol also. In this video i have shown the recipe to make the plum cake without using alcohol and without the need for a beater. Also this recipe can be prepared either by using an oven or on stove.
