That Startup Show's video: Episode 4: Bodytech - Turning brilliant bio ideas to booming business

@Episode 4: Bodytech - Turning brilliant bio ideas to booming business
This episode That Startup Show plunged headlong into the world of “bodytech” asking in an age where technology is merging with the body: what does it mean to be human? On the journey with hosts Rae Johnston and Ben Law were Alison Hardacre co-CEO of global healthtech company HealthKit, and award winning human centred designer, Leah Heiss designer of the world’s first in hearing aid technology, Facett. This week things got physical, as Rae tested the strength (and her own) of the world’s first indestructible beanie from the founder of Anti-Ordinary. Meanwhile, the singularity got nearer, as Ben was left agog as our correspondent Garry Williams from the Melbourne Science Gallery oversaw the installation of an NFC chip into a hapless human, programming it to not only make phone calls, but also a little Rick Rolling as well. Pitchers included Adam Miller, founder of medical cannabis startup Seedlings, cofounder of Navi Technology Wei Sue, focused on improving the lives of neonatal babies, and Robert Joseph from Anti-Ordinary, the indestructible safety beanie/helmet for skiing.
