These are the very latest developments of this rail section & are first on YouTube. This video shows you some parts of the construction work going on for Itarsi Bhopal 3rd railway line. In this video, the part visible to you is between Budni & Barkheda station, which is the most difficult part for the civil engineering team. Itarsi to Bhopal rail section lies on the very important (Madras, Hyderabad, Mumbai) - Delhi route. Thus, this section also tackles very high density rail traffic. To release this and improve the overall punctuality, Indian Railway is building the third rail. AFAIK, Bhopal-Bina is already a three-line section & afterwards Itarsi Bhopal Bina will become a good long triple line route (~230 km). Budni ghats belong to the Vindhya mountain range. Budni is also surrounded by the रातापानी अभयारण्य/ Ratapani Abhayaranya , which has an active population of Royal Bengal Tiger, the national animal of India.
