Tobe Hooper's original 1974 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is quite the film. It is also spelled out as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, though the original bears the split word spelling. This is definitely one of the quintessential horror films. The story carries more undertones than you would think and in our case left us plenty to talk about after the film, which was unexpected going in. A.
