Let’s talk essential oils in skincare. Are they really that bad for skin? I personally have experience both terrible reactions to essential oils, and also massive skin repair from essential oils (like getting rid of melasma, and using essential oil blends to speed up healing of breakouts and blemishes). I’m not a scientist, so I can’t tell you if they are good or bad. But, what I can do is share the guidelines I follow to protect my skin from having any type of bad reaction. In today’s video I share the mistakes to avoid when using skincare products containing essential oils. There’s certain skincare products and active ingredients you shouldn’t use while using skincare products containing essential oils. Together, they’ll cause a bad reaction and you want to avoid that. There’s also certain skin types that have less sensitivity to essential oils, and other skin types that should avoid them. There’s certain essential oils that can cause photosensitivity, you need to know which ones they are, plus how to adjust your skin care routine when you are spending more time outdoors or in the sun.
