The Col Collective's video: Behind the Ride - Dan Martin talks Tour de France mountains crashes more

May is always a good month of the year, the mountains start to sing once more and for the professionals it's the first good opportunity to recon some of the key stages of the Tour de France. Stopping by The Col Collective HQ for a couple of days we were fortunate enough to host UAE Team Emirates leader Dan Martin as he preps for the World's biggest bike race. Now in full on TdF training let's just say the ride to check out Stage 14, featuring the Col du Soulor and Col du Tourmalet, was "brisk". We were then able to slow Dan down just long enough for a chat on how he came to love cycling, some of his early memories of the mountains, his insight into training with power, recovering from crashes, what he thinks of the shorter more punchy mountain stages and more.
