Delhi-Mumbai Expressway: Charging station every 20 KM | Dadri-Mumbai Freight Corridor | WDFC The country's largest Delhi-Mumbai Expressway plans to build charging stations for electric buses every 20 kilometres. Such charging stations will be built on the lines of Sweden. The charging station will run for about 200 kms once the train is charged. According to Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, the work on this highway has been completed by about 50 per cent. Gadkari says it plans to lay tracks like railways on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to run electric buses. The expressway will take only around 12 hours to reach Delhi-Mumbai. About 1258 km long expressway will cost about Rs 1 lakh crore. The target for completion of this highway has been kept at January 2023. This highway will be green high. This will save about 32 crore litres of fuel every year. This will reduce the emission of about 85 crore kilometres of carbon dioxide annually, which is equivalent to planting 4 crore trees. Expressways to pass through 5 states The expressway will pass through a total of 5 states including Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra. It would also provide excellent connectivity to economic hubs like Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Ahmedabad and Surat. 1500 km long rail track between Dadri-Mumbai | Western Dedicated Freight Corridor The work of laying of track for Mumbai-Dadri dedicated freight corridor (DFC) has now been taken up. About seven kilometres of track has been laid from separation to Faridabad. The junction is being built in a separate for the corridor. It has become a new industrial hub. The dedicated freight corridor connecting Dadri with Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai will connect Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. It will also benefit northern Railway and the transportation of foodgrains and other goods in other parts of the country would be expedited. Let's say there is a track of about 1500 kms between Dadri-Mumbai. The DFC will be of double track. That means, there will be different tracks for the incoming goods trains. This will not only save time, but also bring more goods from one place to another. The biggest advantage will be the quick perishable items like vegetables, fruits and milk. They will also be fully connected with ultra modern signals, tracks, engines and communication facilities. 20 feet high track the corridor is being built about 20 feet high so that no animal, including the public, can climb it. This will also reduce the apprehension of the accident. Railway line for Mumbai-Dadri railway freight corridor to pass through 28 km area in industrial city. For this, 551 acres of land of 20 villages of the district has been acquired. The work of corridor construction is also being expedited. The work of making underpasses is also being done in the routes which are crossing the corridor. Their work has also been completed in many places. Veerbhaan Sharma (Principal, Faridabad IMT Industry Association) says the dedicated freight corridor will help in removing the burden of trucks from roads. A goods train can be transported at par with 300 trucks from 200. It is clear that it will also reduce the burden of roads. When such a large number of trucks are not on the roads, there will be no air pollution. The industry goods will be able to reach the safe place from one place to another in time. YP Sharma (Deputy Chief Project Manager, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation) says the construction of the corridor is being completed expeditiously. The track laying has also been started. It is expected that the construction will be completed in December 2021. Soon all the underpasses will be ready. According to BR Bhatia (Principal, Faridabad Industry Association), the industrial city will get great relief after the dedicated freight corridor corporation is formed. There will be no difficulty in carrying raw and finished goods to the port. At present, goods are transported through large cargo vehicles to the port. Where our goods reach 15 days, it will take weeks now. Timely delivery of goods will be ensured.
