ANTIQUE HUNTING WITH THE DIPPYS | WALLYS RECLAIM YARD We’ve both been in the antique trade for a combined 96 years so when we were offered the chance to explore a famous reclaim yard in Great Yarmouth to offer our expert advice, we couldn’t say no. Touring the yard with us was legendary and heavily Norfolk accented owner, Wally. One of us. Miller spots a famous war horn fresh in the yard that day and unravels its Tunisian heritage. Struck by mechanical desire he also test drives an antique lawnmower with some vital help from Wally. Leggett locates an unusual drum and plays it for Wally, as Wally sings an old Norfolk song. Miller isn’t the only one test driving, as Leggett jumps into some roller skates and wallows in his childhood pastime. Wally is on top form as he shows us his art gallery prompting us to demand an Antique Roadshow visit. He also makes public his sealed antique cakes. Carnage ensues as Miller reveals a close shave Wally had with Dodgy Damien.
