EGYPTIAN SILVER PLATE FOUND METAL DETECTING IN NORFOLK One of our permission fields gets harvested and you know what that means. It’s time for a swing with the metal detectors. Thousands of pounds worth of artefacts graced our palms in this exciting return. Leggett steals the show with a rare piece Tony Robinson from Time Team would be proud of, an Egyptian silver plate. Turning the plate over revealed branding not seen for thousands of years. An important phone call is made following the discovery. Antique buttons were also on the scene for Leggett as he finds some 18th century ones, marked with the maker. Meanwhile Miller finds our oldest coin to date, and he’s got a buyer for it that’s for sure. He also finds a possible spear head. However, unsure of this it was the perfect time to launch our new game show, as we ask viewers for an opinion on the item.
