The District Decoder's video: Chazz Palminteri on sharing Frank Sinatra s olive

The 40th annual National Italian American Foundation Gala Weekend was hosted in Washington DC from Thursday October, 15 through Saturday October 17th at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. On Friday, iconic Italian actor Chazz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale, The Usual Suspects) attended the "Joe Piscopo and Friends Celebrate Sinatra's 100th Birthday" bash, and spoke briefly on stage about the time he shared an olive with Frank Sinatra, what it meant and Gregory Peck's reaction to it. Chazz's friendship with Frank, and this Rat Pack tradition in particular, inspired him to create his newly launched 100 percent Sicilian Vodka. BiVi Vodka was on hand and served in delicious cocktails throughout the night. Also in attendance was Rat Pack member Dean Martin's daughter, the lovely Deana Martin. Later in the evening, SNL legend and emcee of the show Joe Piscopo kept people up and dancing by joining the band and playing the drums. The night helped cement NIAF's reputation as one of Washington's most popular black tie events.
