Welcome to the Field Tracker series, and the Slavens wheat field! Slavens if one of three wheat fields we have growing in 2020 for harvest this summer. We raise soft red winter wheat in Indiana. Winter meaning it was seeded in the fall and will be ripe the following summer. In the Field Tracker series I'm going to following a field of each of our four crops throughout the growing season. So in addition to wheat you will see corn, popcorn, and soybeans from the day of planting through harvest.
