Preplant Nitrogen. What's that about? Some farmers put all the N for their corn on ahead of planting, and some do not. We mostly apply the bulk of our N on at sidedress time when the corn is up and growing quickly. But all our fields have at least a tricky spot or two that makes maneuvering large equipment in a growing crop difficult.
