TOMATO SOUP RECIPE Made From Fresh Tomatoes (from scratch) is presented in this video. It's easy homemade tomato soup with basil and vegetables. I show how to make it that it can be served cooked or even fully or partially raw if you're an enthusiast! This recipe is completely vegan. I used zucchini and this helped me to achieve creamy taste and texture but it is still a low calorie meal. My goal was to make real tomato soup but also keep cooking process on healthy level. Fresh herbs, especially basil, are crucial for this soup. Basil gives amazing aroma and it goes very well with the taste of tomatoes. I recommend serving this soup with freshly toasted bread or baguette. VEGETABLE BROTH 1 ZUCCHINI 1 RED PEPPER 1 tsp TOMATO PASTE 1/4 tsp GARLIC POWDER 1 tsp HIMALAYAN SALT 1/4 tsp BLACK PEPPER 1 tsp SUGAR FRESH BASIL FRESH PARSLEY TOASTED BREAD or BAGUETTE Cooking instructions: 1) Wash tomatoes and place them in a glass bowl. Pour bowling water over tomatoes. Make sure water is covering all of them. Let them sit in the water for 10-20 minutes. 2) Check the water and tomatoes temperature and if it is easy to handle them. Be careful not to burn your hands. Peel tomatoes only after making sure that the temperature is right. 3) Place peeled tomatoes in the blender or food processor. Add red pepper, zucchini, vegetable broth, salt, sugar, tomato paste and spices: black pepper, garlic powder. 4) Blend everything until it is completely smooth or as much as your blender is able to work. 5) Pour tomato soup in the pot. Heat it up. Let it cook for some time (it is really up to your own preferrence). Now you can also add more spices, salt or sugar if needed. 6) Pour tomato soup into a serving bowl. Cut some fresh herbs like basil and parsley. Add on the top in a serving bowl. Serve with toasted bread or baguette. Bon Appétit!
