The Food Nut's video: CURRY TURMERIC FRIED RICE RECIPE

Curry Turmeric Fried Rice Recipe is presented in this video. I show how to make fried rice dish using only one pot (!!!). This dish is inspired by Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. Exotic spices like curry and turmeric give a special aroma to this rice dish. This recipe presents unusual use for rice. It is very easy to make this rice and enjoy a new type of a meal. This fried rice is a great addition to a meal. It comes great when it is served with vegetables, yogurt and pita. INGREDIENTS: 1 cup RICE 3 tbsp COOKING OIL 1 tbsp CURRY 1 tbsp TURMERIC 1 tsp SALT JUICE OF 1/2 LEMON 1 tbsp TOMATO PASTE HANDFUL PARSLEY 2 cups WATER Cooking Instructions: 1) Rinse rice under running water. Drain rice well before adding to the pan. 2) Warm up cooking oil on the pan on medium-low heat. Add tomato paste and fry it for a minute. 3) Add drained rice to the pan. Fry rice for 5-8 minutes and stir it frequently. 4) Add to the rice: salt and spices like curry and turmeric. Mix everything together. Add water, stir well and cover with a lid. Simmer for about 30 minutes or until the rice absorb all the water. 5) When water is absorbed turn off the heat. Cut handful of parsley and add it to the pan. Squeeze lemon juice and mix everything. 6) Serve when turmeric curry rice is warm. Bon Appétit!
