On behalf of our President and CEO, David R. Webb, Sr., The Funk Music Hall of Fame & Exhibition Center team members and funk fans all around the world, we would like to publicly thank Dr. Sharon Davis-Gratto, Professor of Music & Graul Endowed Chair on Arts and Languages and the University of Dayton for allowing our museum to be a part of its first Funk Music Symposium held this past September 12th through September 14, 2018. It was a rousing success as scholars, musicians, radio personalities, funk legends, contemporary dancers and overall funk music lovers spent three days exploring the evolution of the genre and dancing the night away to some of its’ greatest hits! Truly a symposium to remember, Dayton is forever impacted by this wonderful event.
